Child Trafficking

Child trafficking is still a big issue today.  Young women who are actively pursing a college education and career are stolen away without a say.  Currently, the Vietnamese-Chinese border is a hunting ground for human traffickers according to the article . One of the leading causes for this  issue is the one child policy China has on its people.  There are too many men and not enough women.  This forces the gender ratio to be heavily skewed.  Even though the issue isn't happening happening across the United States its principle of having a say and having respect for a human being has a lot to do in not just the U.S but also other countries in the world. Young girls go missing daily, weekly, and even monthly because they have been a victim to being sold for money. While watching many movies and television shows it basically shows what really goes on. No child should have to go through this type of torture and for the parent they shouldn't have to worry about their child being taken and sold. The sellers make it look like they are very nice people when they really manipulate these young girls to go with them. I personally think that there should be a stop to child trafficking, this is a physical and mental abuse no individual should have to go through.

Transgender Issue

http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/26/health/sc-transgender-student-bathroom-suspension/

There has been a lot of debate on transgender bathrooms.  Most of the conflict comes from not being fully educated on what transgender means.  Recently I had a disagreement with a person who claimed they would no longer shop at Target because they publicly support transgender restrooms.  They stated it was wrong for a man to be in a women's restroom and he did not feel comfortable if his daughter was there at the same time a man was.  This is were the issue beings.  There has not been a case reported where a transgender person has assaulted another person in the restroom. Why? Well because it hasn't happened.  The society we live in today is conformed to certain ideals and are unable to accept any change that may seem slightly wrong.  It is important to be more accepting of others and what makes them comfortable regardless of how it makes someone else feel.  If a person honestly cannot handle transgender restrooms then simply do not use public restrooms anymore.  There is no reason why a person should force their beliefs on someone else.

Surgery on the wrong baby

Hospitals are meant to help people when they have any health issues. They are trusted to provide care and have the best interest of their patients. And yet, even in these supposed safe havens, accidents do occur. Although, to the public, it is portrayed to be an uncommon phenomena, it is speculated that malpractice may be more prevalent than previously thought. In a recent case a baby born to the Melton family from the Tenessee area had a surgery performed when it should have not been performed. The doctor had surgery done on the wrong baby, baby Nate who was completely healthy could potentionally suffer from difficulty in speech and eating after having the bottom of his tongue clipped. A situation like this is a concern to many people, it makes the public feel some sort of terror to think that doctors who are supposed to know what they are doing are making mistakes like this. Doctors in clinics and hospitals are supposed to take care of patients not harmed them. Hospitals are meant so we could be treated and be taken care of, but it seems like even in the one place where we should be feeling save we are not. The doctor who is involved in this problem admitted it was his mistake and apologize, but the thing is that  an innocent baby was involved in a surgical procedure when he shouldn't have been. Nashville News Channel 5 interviewed the parents of baby Nate recently after the surgery and we're not able to go  back to the hospital to continue they're coverage due to hospital privacy laws. Nashville news were not the only news coverage who published an article regarding this situation CNN,  Fox News and many others have had access to this incident.. The public is aware of what happened in this hospital and frightens and makes it there be a question to why things like this could possibly happen.

Battle for some KitKat

Out of all the conflicts going on in the world people seem to be overreacting  and pay attention to the little things. The little things some people may not be so little to others for instance who would really pay attention to whether you have more yellow M&Ms than you do the blue ones ? But you have people who do that . Saima Ahamd, a 20 year old from London bought KitKats with no wafer inside is now demanding Nestle a lifetime supply of KitKats. Now, who would overreact to such a thing? Her. Things like this happen and will always happen not just with KitKats but other chocolate, chips, cookies or whatever it is a the time these products are being made. The fact that this girl even thought about reaching out to Nestle and demanding a lifetime supply of this product caught the attention of many. After articles were published, like in Daily Mail and , the guardian, Fox8 news and many more, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook have been the sources where this issue has been known of. All Saima wanted was to enjoy a KitKat bar, but unfortunately no wagged was in these KitKats so since she didn't receive the product that she paid she is demanding Nestle a lifetime supply and people who are seeing this going on are attacking her. The way media is pertraying this incident leaves many people confused and people laughter, because what she is dealing with is to many ridiculous and comments have been posted on Twitter that are not so nice.

Zika virus outbreak

In the last year Ebola was the outbreak that was a concern in many countries, now Zika is the "new" outbreak. Zika which is a virus transmitted by mosquitoes is the outbreak that is causing commotion in Latin America, the Caribbean  and parts of Europe also now in the U.S. According to researchers there may be a link between the virus and pregnant women and possible birth defects (microcephaly) . The Latin American government have made the U.S. government aware of the critical situation so that the percentages of the spread of the virus will not increase. I found it interesting when I read the article over this issue, when it was mentioned that the Colombian governments "solution" to prevent the virus from harming pregnant women and heir children is to not get pregnant. What I found interesting about this comment and to an extent ridiculous is the fact that the government came up with this solution thinking it will be effective and prevent the virus from spreading more. The virus is out there and it will be affecting many newborns.
